This novena follows the request novena, which we have posted in another blog. After we have done the first part of the novena of Pompeii, that is, the novena of the request for 27 consecutive days for a single heart. We pray the second part, that is, the thanksgiving novena for another 27 days, to thank Our Lady for fulfilling (or who will fulfill us when the moment is right) our request. This is the first part (Prayer of request) of the Novena of Pompeii and is said for 27 consecutive days to ask Our Lady of Pompeii for what we need. Instead of the mysteries of joy, we can do other mysteries of the respective day. It is a very powerful novena, the favorite of Saint Pio of Pietralcine, the great Italian saint, who said that Our Lady fulfilled everything he asked for through this novena. The second part of the novena of Pompeii is called the prayer of thanks and follows after the end of this prayer of request (after the 27th day) and we will read it in the next post.
